Your grant dollars to Boys Hope Girls Hope of KC went directly to help the boys who are growing up in a safe, structured home, and receiving a college preparatory education and wrap-around services, year-round, 365 days a year. Because our long-term goal for each scholar is college graduation, your funds helped them complete a rigorous, out-of-school academic program, where, among other things, they prepared for the ACT/SAT, learned the financial advantages of pursing a higher education, and explored the costs of college, financial aid, loans, and debt management. Thank you!

JCBF was started many years ago. Our hope then, as it is now, was to encourage our Associations’ attorneys to give of their time and resources. And our fundraising events not only serve to bring folks together to raise money, but also to stay in touch. Our Foundation’s life blood is its Fellows. It has be an honor and a privilege to serve and support our Foundation. Over the past 10 plus years, with the help of so many dedicated Fellows, the Foundation has grown into an organization that will sustain itself for years to come. That means the continued ability to focus on those most in need of our support; volunteering our time, talent and resources; and cultivating new passionate leaders who believe in providing life-enriching opportunities for those in our community. May the years ahead be full of blessings for all who are devoted to this charitable arm of our Bar Association.

When I think of the Johnson County Bar Foundation, I think of community, of attorneys coming together to help children, families, and those who have been impacted by the legal system. I want to support my community, and I do that by supporting the Foundation.

My years of involvement in the Foundation has given me exposure to attorneys in other practice areas, which has helped me become a better lawyer. It has also provided opportunities to grow into a better leader. Most importantly, engaging in the Foundation’s community-enriching activities has made me a better person.
